In the latest of our "Pavement to Headline..." series of news articles, we ponder whether it would be simpler to tell you the festivals they aren't taking the top slot on.

Pavement will be playing their first reunion show on American soil at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, Washington. The festival runs through May 29-31. Or memorial day weekend as it is known to Americans. We're not sure what it is they're remembering this year, but from 2011, it'll be a memorial of the Pavement reunion gig in 2010.

How can a day be a weekend? Nevermind...

Organisers are so confident in this booking that they won't be releasing the full line-up until February next year. Maybe it'll just be Pavement playing for eight hours a day over three days. People would still see that! Especially when they run out of songs halfway through the Saturday and have to start playing Village People covers.
