Punk Greats Record Johnny Cash Tribute Album

Some of the most well known voices in American punk have joined together to record "All Aboard: A Tribute to Johnny Cash".

Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music), MxPx, The Dresden Dolls, The Hold Steady, The Bouncing Souls and relative newcomers The Gaslight Anthem have all participated in the release which is due October 21, 2008 via Anchorless Records.

Anchorless Records will be donating all the profits from the album to the Syrentha Savio Endowment (SSE), a non-profit organisation that provides financial assistance to underprivileged women who cannot afford the expense of fighting breast cancer.

The liner notes on the physical copy of the album include quotes from each artist, expressing their feelings on the impact Johnny Cash has had on them both musically and personally. It is hoped that as well as raising money for a worthwhile cause, a new generation will also be introduced to the wonder of Cash.
