Over the weekend, Bradford Cox posted a blog on the official Deerhunter blog-site about a set of rare Deerhunter demos that he is now giving away for absolutely free.

The post reads:

"Responding to several requests I have dug up an old copy of this 2005 Deerhunter CD-R. It features only me and Moses and is very experimental in nature. This was during our "tape phase" when we would often play shows as a duo (or as a trio with colin) playing only tape machines and vocal loops."

The set of ten demos goes by the title of Carve Your Initials Into The Walls Of The Night and according to the blog was "recorded live to 2-track cassette machine at Moses' old house". It was then "mastered at the Old Notown building on my dad's ancient PC using Soundforge". Sounds pretty old-school to us.

You can grab it yourself right now for absolutely no charge by visiting the blog post so treat yourself to a free download and let us know what you think!

It's track-listing can be seen just below.
