R.E.M Bumped From Cardiff Stadium

American Superstars R.E.M have been bumped from their scheduled performance at the Cardiff Millennium Stadium on August 25, 2008.

Instead, the band - led by Michael Stipe - will play at the Cardiff indoor arena in the city. The indoor arena has a significantly reduced capacity of 7,500.

Neither the stadium officials nor the band have offered any explanation for the venue change. The only information imparted was that tickets for the original performance will remain valid although refunds will be made available at the point of sale if needed.

R.E.M are joined on the tour by Editors and Guillemots.
