Having genuinely wowed crowds at the back slapping South By Southwest Festival, and featuring on tips for 2008 lists everywhere, Philadelphia's Santogold is finally putting some substance to the writer's tattle.
Her debut self-titled album will hit shelves in her homeland on April 29th, with Europe suffering from a fortnight's lag, the LP being released from May 12th.
However, European fans of Santogold will be able to sample the singer ahead of the LP release, starting with a gig at the tiny Plug venue in Sheffield, she'll then go on to venues and festivals galore.

Does she do the music on that VO5 advert with the kids in the army camp who don't want a haircut to match? And by the way, since when do women who look like that join the forces?!
