Shins Embark On World Tour, Prepare Single

After a few months out of action, The Shins are to embark on a global tour of Hawaii, Japan, Australia, New Zealand with a Scottish date thrown in to boot.

The group were already confirmed for the Reading and Leeds Festival, and have now added Edinburgh' Corn Exchange as a warm up for their main stage appearance, along with gigs in Dublin and Belfast.

One other piece of Shins news for you. If you've seen them live before, no doubt you'll have encountered their cover of Pink Floyd's 'Breathe'. Well, that particular live favourite will be a B-side on the forthcoming single 'Turn On Me' which arrives as the third single taken from 'Wincing The Night Away'.

Also appearing on the the EP will be their track featured by the U.S TV series 'Weeds', which is shown here in the U.K on Sky One, while the 10" vinyl includes a remixed version of 'Australia' carried out by Peter Bjorn and John.

All three formats (CD, 10" and Download) are available from September 3rd.
