Spoons forthcoming record 'Transference' was announced back at the tail-end of October and was initially due for release on January 15th 2010.

Lucky for the fans, that date has now been cut back a week meaning that the much anticipated record will instead see release on January 18th. Along with the release date change comes news of a new single from the band by the name of Written In Reverse, lifted direcrly from the upcoming record. That'll be available as of December 1st as a digital download and eventually on January 1st as a 7-inch.

In other Spoon news, the band are also set to tour the UK next February with three dates in London, Glasgow and Manchester, all in support of Transference.

We've added the upcoming L.P's track-listing just below.

01 - Before Destruction

02 - Is Love Forever?
