State of Mates Album New Announce

The year of 2008 seems to be the year of the duo, what with MGMT and The Ting Tings bringing the buzz. Now Connecticut's Mates of State have circled May 20, 2008 as the release date of their new album "Re-Arrange Us".

Speaking about the album, the band say, "We recorded it all over this fine country, with 3 amazing producers: At Tiny Telephone in San Francisco, CA with Chris Walla, at Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, CT with Peter Katis, and at Public Hi-Fi in Austin, TX with Jim Eno. Then, we shaped, massaged, and mixed all the pieces together again with Peter Katis." - Damn, that Chris Walla dude really gets around.

The twosome comprising husband and wife, Jason Hammel and Kori Gardner are set for an appearance at this year's Sasquatch festival, so mark the 25th of May in your calendars under George, Washington.
