If you were anywhere near London's Battersea power station on the evening of Thursday 14th March, you would of seen a surprising sight.

Projected onto the building were the faces of various world leaders including our very own Prime Minister, Tony Blair. Accompanying the images was the slogan "Arrest the Presidents". So, another day, another protest, right? Well, sort of, except this was the kick-start to a campaign to launch a record-breaking interactive single release.

The single is unique in that the artist Mark Biddiss is asking for anyone and everyone to sing on the chorus of the released track. Interested ones can either send their voice via their mobile phone, or by recording themselves onto an MP3 file. The song caters to all different styles of voices as you may choose to sing lead vocals, low vocal, high vocal or two different harmony vocals. The effort has qualified for inclusion in the Guinness Book Of Records if successful, and some have estimated that up to one million people from the UK alone are likely to be a part of the project.

Speaking to soundgenerator.com, songwriter Mark Biddiss said: "This is an historic moment... this song 'Arrest the Presidents' has political power so the unique concept of any person being able to add their voice to the single is hugely relevant. We want to give everybody a voice, millions protested about the war and were ignored, now they can have a part in an active message and be heard".

The song, 'Arrest the Presidents' will be released worldwide on Sunday 13th May 2007 with a chunk of the proceeds going to the War Child Charity.
