It's been nearly two years since Belle & Sebastian's Stuart Murdoch announced a worldwide hunt for a singer / budding movie star to feature on his upcoming project.
Not only has Murdoch got his girl, but they've also finished the record, announced a summer release date and effectively launched the career of Catherine Ireton, who until today was one half of the unknown Scottish acoustic outfit, The Go Away Birds.
The album which features a 45-piece orchestra, all of the current Belle & Sebastian line-up and Neil Hannon from the Divine Comedy, will get a release in the U.K via Rough Trade on June 22nd, with the U.S getting it the day after through Matador.
Below is the track list, two of which you should already be familiar with. 'Act Of The Apostle' and 'Funny Little Frog' have both been released previously under the B&S name and have been reworked for this record.
The first single will be 'Come Monday Night'.
