Representing the first time this writer had to queue throughout the entire day, demand was high for songstress Ms. Marling.

Poised, personable but shy and reserved, her demeanour in person was exactly what anyone who had listened to Alas, I Cannot Swim would have come to expect. "I probably shouldn't have used up all my on-stage banter so quickly. Now I've got to tune my guitar and I'm out of things to say" she half-joked to the capacity crowd at the "British Music Embassy" known formally as Latitude 30.

By no means a long set, Marling was in and out within twenty minutes leaving a brief but favourable impression upon the crowds quietly enjoying the laid-back, yet emotive acoustic pickings tonight.

Unfortunately so! And all of these Live Reviews are only making it harder.

That and the talk of the 30c temperature that Texas is meant to be sweltering under.

Ah well, at least we get to...wait what do we get to do?

We get to tuck into our Saturday night pint 5 hours before them?....no thats no consolation, the buggers are probably having a cold one at a barbecue breakfast somewhere with Frank and the other cool kids.....shall we start a green eyed monster band?
