We only just reported this week about the outbreak of bands playing at this year's South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.

Yet, just a few days later, the volume of bands now playing, merits yet another update, for an event that continues to be the highlight of the music calendar. Amongst the additions are The Cribs, Gallows, Russian Circles and Wussy.

Indeed The Cribs could be heading over to America as a fourpiece, as the band explained in an interview published today (Jan 12th) in the Independent:

"We are all really excited about the New Year and can't wait to tour the UK again. We have decided to change the format of the band. We feel like we have become quite comfortable now and that isn't always a good thing. I think it's good to mess things up and change.

"So we have decided that we are going to bring someone new into the band. I think people will be really surprised when they hear who it is because the person is quite well known."

Quite who the guys will bring in remains to be seen, but any comments pertaining to Kate Nash will be immediately stricken from the record.
