Brooklyn five-piece The Hold Steady have cancelled the entirety of their forthcoming U.K tour due to undisclosed reasons.

The tour, which was scheduled to begin tonight (September 29) in Oxford and run for just over a week is no more sadly. Rumour has it that the cancellation is due to one of the band members coming down ill.

The affected dates are:

Sep 29 - Oxford @ Academy [CANCELLED]
Sep 30 - Manchester @ Academy [CANCELLED]

Oct 01 - Glasgow @ ABC [CANCELLED]
Oct 02 - Wolverhampton @ Wulfrun Hall [CANCELLED]
Oct 04 - Bristol @ Anson Rooms [CANCELLED]
Oct 05 - Nottingham@ Rock City [CANCELLED]
Oct 06 - Portsmouth @ Pyramids [CANCELLED]
Oct 08 - London@ Roundhouse [CANCELLED]
