Mike Skinner has announced that the next album by The Streets will be released shortly, but in an unusual blog posting suggested that the following album will be his last.
It's been two years since the third album, 'Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living' was released and the next album which will be titled 'Everything is Borrowed' is set for release in the next few months.
But Skinner also revealed that he has already started work on the fifth album, and that that will be his last.
Skinner said on the blog post:
"Anyway, if you like The Streets you are about to experience the peaceful positive vibes that come after a disturbing work such as the last you heard. But the final Streets album (the fifth one) will be dark and futuristic. This could not be further from the album you're about to hear, but it's what is on my mind at the moment."
I for one will be sick to my stomach if the Streets do call it quits. They have to be one of the best pioneering band / artist that has ever graced this earth.
