Vancouver based indie-rockers are heading to Austin for the first time this year. Hopefully they'll make it, despite the events of this Monday when they became the latest band to have their equipment stolen.

We caught up with them to hear about their plans for South By Southwest as well as their seeming addiction to Pulled Pork Sandwiches:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) How many times have you been to SxSW?

This is our first time.

2) What's the best thing about being in Austin? Or if you've not been before.... What are your tourism related plans?

Pulled Pork Sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

3) Why are you playing SxSW? ('Cos we hear the money isn't too good)

Besides the aforementioned Pulled Pork Sandwich diet, we hear its a good chance to make friends with 2000 other bands. We love making new friends. If you're reading this, please come find us and make friends with us!

4) Who are you showcasing for, and where and when can we expect to see you?

Wed March 16
3:00PM - in-store performance at Cheapo Discs

Fri March 18
1:30PM - XM Radio Session (closed recording)
4:00PM - Sonicbids official day party at Maggie Mae's
5:00PM - DART Music party at 219 West

Sat March 19
3:45PM - Baltimore House/Nine Mile Records party at Rainey Manor
7:15PM - Official SXSW showcase presented by Halifax Pop Explosion at Paradise Cafe

5) Which other bands/artists are you most looking forward to seeing over music week?

We're excited to see a lot of our Canadian friends like Hollerado, Mother Mother, Hey Rosetta, and Teen Daze. We also just learned that Tech N9ne is playing, as well as Wu Tang and Cee Lo Green. We listen to a fair amount of rap in the van, can't wait to see it live.

6) Will you visit the Film or Interactive sections of SxSW this year? Or is time tight?

We haven't looked into it too much, but if someone tells us about something awesome we could be convinced.

7) What does the rest of 2011 hold for you?

We'll be doing a cross-Canada tour with Tokyo Police Club in April, then heading to the UK for 2 weeks in May for the Great Escape Festival and Liverpool Sound City (and some other shows). After that we'll be making a new record, so that's really exciting for us.
