The Walkmen have announced details of their forthcoming fifth studio album.

The band have titled the record 'Lisbon' and it's the follow-up to 2008's 'You & Me'. The U.S will receive the album on September 14, with the U.K expected to gain the album a day earlier, although that's not yet confirmed.

Recorded in both Brooklyn and Philadelphia, the group wrote a number of songs for the LP in Lisbon, Portugal, hence the name.

Produced by John Congleton, who has worked with the likes of Modest Mouse, The Roots and The Polyphonic Spree, the 11-song album was engineered by Chris Zane (Les Savy Fav, The Rakes and Passion Pit).

Meanwhile, the band have lined up a warm-up gig before the band's shows at Reading & Leeds. They'll play at London's Islington Academy on August 25, with a U.K tour support slot with the Black Keys following later on in the year.
