Support new music: choose from our favourite new albums this month.

We've all been there, sat at the computer clicking the refresh button continually, trying to get tickets for the show that everyone wants to see. Suddenly the page starts to move, but your greeted with a large bold red font - SOLD OUT.

Instantly you pop along to eBay and groan at the ridiculous premiums being charged by touts. But still its worth it, maybe they'll never tour the UK again.

Well the sad news is that if you've used tickettout.com in the past month or two, not only have you shelled out double, maybe triple for the tickets in question, but also you're not going to get the tickets either.

The site labelled itself as "The leading independent UK ticket brokering company specialising in sourcing exclusive "front row" and "hard to get" tickets for "sold out" events. We have years of experience in this field and our unique expertise manifests itself in an unparallel comprehensive database. "

"With many years of experience in the secondary ticket market in the UK and Europe, we are now recognised as the most reliable and reputable online ticket agency for buying tickets to sold out events. When you purchase tickets online from Ticket Tout.com is 100% secure."

Despite being featured in Watchdog just two months ago, when two people were ripped off to the tune of £800 for Killers tickets, customers still flocked to tickettout.com desperate for tickets.

Now, with the collapse of tickettout.com, music fans will lose money totalling £1.4m. About 6,500 people are affected. There is a helpline telephone number (020 7194 1015), however it looks like the only saving grace is if you've purchased tickets to the value of £100 or over using a credit card, as you should be covered by your card supplier.
