Depressed Scottish geniuses The Twilight Sad released their fantastically melancholic debut long-player 'Fourteen Autumns And Fifteen Winters' back in 2007 and now; album number two is on its way.
During the downtime between the two records, the band have released an EP of re-workings, (Here It Never Snowed, Afterwards It Did) and a compilation album full of unreleased tracks and covers (Killed My Parents And Hit The Road). Of course they were pretty much touring the entire time too and have only just finished a tour supporting post-rock beasts Mogwai.
The upcoming sophomore attempt goes by the name of Forget The Night Ahead and will hit the UK on September 21st (whilst the US gets it a day later on the 22nd). The record will be released through the bands label-home of Fat Cat.
We personally can't wait to hear some new material from the unhappy Scots, especially considering even their B-Side album was sprinkled with genius (we still can't get over their cover of The Smiths Half A Person).
Keep checking back for more news on the upcoming record as its announced (track-listings and artwork must be on their way soon).
