Yes, there is nothing more we hate than bigoted crazies like Glenn Beck, but although the racists somehow manage to steal the narrative on the airwaves, there's always someone, somewhere who's thankfully willing to strike back.
How we wish we were present in Nebraska this weekend, because at Nebraska's Concert for Equality, Conor Oberst did just that, performing some solo stuff and some of the Bright Eyes back catalogue.
But it was Oberst’s participation in a one-night reunion of Desaparecidos, his punk band from the early 2000s, that was the highlight.
Quite frankly it remains as one of the albums of the last decade. Watching it live must have been a treat.
