All is not well in Zutonia, the band have just been dropped from the majors by their record label Sony after their most recent single failed to chart high enough.
The mere feat of scoring three consecutive top ten albums in the U.K was not enough. Being behind one of the biggest hits ("Valerie" - covered by resource-sucker Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson) of the millennium was similarly not sufficient to satiate Sony.
The band were leased to Sony owing to a deal in place between their former label Deltasonic and Sony which saw the heavy-hitters bumped up to the main division. It is presently unknown if the band will now simply return to Deltasonic - a situation made murkier by the parting of Deltasonic and Sony back in 2008.
The boys and girl released their latest album "You Can Do Anything" to near-universal-acclaim last year.
