Support new music: choose from our favourite new albums this month.
Win Butler, front-man of Arcade Fire and all round nice guy has confirmed a few details about what the band are planning to do next.
In an interview with NME, he stated this about his feelings toward the third album and returning to the live circuit:
"None of us want to take three years making a record. It could be that we'll play live soon and maybe we'll end up bashing it (another album) out fast. We're in the middle of writing, things are coming together, it's a great feeling."
"If you had asked me about playing live six months ago I'd be like 'No, I'm good', but now, I go to a gig and I get the little…I can imagine being on that stage. It's the step before you actually go and do it."
We weren't even necessarily expecting anything this year from these guys but by what Mr Butler has to say, we could expect another Arcade Fire album by this Christmas.
Fingers and toes crossed.
